The Recreation ALLIES Network was created by the Under One Roof Project in response to needs expressed by the families we serve.

For many of us, one of the biggest obsticles to participation is finding friends with common interests. If you experience a disability and do not have the supports you need, you face a greater challenge. Allies can help ensure a fun, safe and successful experience.

Members give and receive suport as needed. It may be as simple as giving someone with strength and coordination challenges an option to paddle in a double kayak, allowing him to safely and successfully experience the thrill of gliding across the open water. Or support may be as simple as an ALLIE standing by offering encouragement to another as she finds the courage to participate.

Whether your interest is in dance, sports, theater, arts, outdoor activities, or school clubs, you will have an opportunity to post or access events on the ALLIES calendar. Details on each event will be included, such as location, time, directions, fees for participation, who will be there, etc. With the launch of this website, we are now able to bring ALLIES together in one virtual reality, where you can build connections that may last for a day or a lifetime!
